I’m Mike. I’m a husband to my favorite human, Tori (a.k.a. Sweetie, Momma Tori, or Lali). I’m dad to a lot of people. And I’m Papi to a growing number of little people.

I’ve spent the past 23+ years in full-time pastoral ministry. I recently stepped away from this role to take some time to refuel, retool, and reframe what life and ministry should look like in the future. I have some ideas for where God may be leading me in the long term, but for the current season I am seeking ways to use my gifts and experience to serve the kingdom of God.

I am told that I am a gifted Bible teacher and it’s something I dearly love to do. I have always felt that preaching and teaching were the most natural and invigorating parts of ministry life.

I have a great passion for writing. My blog is the primary outlet for relatively short, usually devotional in nature pieces that seek to encourage, challenge, and cause people to think.

I have a particular passion for kids and families and cherish every opportunity to serve them. I also have a great passion to serve and support foster families and the extended families and churches that support them.
