Hey friend, thanks for stopping by.
I’m Mike. I’m a husband to my favorite human, Tori (a.k.a. Sweetie, Momma Tori, or Lali). I’m dad to a lot of people. And I’m Papi to a growing number of little people.
I’ve spent the past 23+ years in full-time pastoral ministry. I recently stepped away from this role to take some time to refuel, retool, and reframe what life and ministry should look like in the future. I have some ideas for where God may be leading me in the long term, but for the current season I am seeking ways to use my gifts and experience to serve the kingdom of God.
I am told that I am a gifted Bible teacher and it’s something I dearly love to do. I have always felt that preaching and teaching were the most natural and invigorating parts of ministry life.
I have a great passion for writing. My blog is the primary outlet for relatively short, usually devotional in nature pieces that seek to encourage, challenge, and cause people to think.
I have a particular passion for kids and families and cherish every opportunity to serve them. I also have a great passion to serve and support foster families and the extended families and churches that support them.
If you see a way that I might be able to help or serve in your part of the kingdom of God, please feel free to contact me. I am open to most any opportunity if it can be worked out.
Meanwhile, if you have been blessed, encouraged, or challenged by what you have read or listened to on this site, please do 2 things for me: First, take a moment to share the post that spoke well to you on your social media or by email, text, or messenger. Second, please consider a small donation to help me keep doing these things. May God be glorified in it all!
